Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you work out of?
During the warmer months, I like to offer Walk and Talk Counselling leaving from Frankton Beach, Queenstown. I believe that connecting with nature provides significant healing and benefits to our overall wellbeing.
During the cooler months, I will be offering a warm, cosy meeting space.

How can counselling help me?
Sometimes when we are stuck and not coping, speaking to a trained Mental Health Professional can help you gain understanding of the struggles. Counselling offers a safe space to explore and unpack life experiences that may be keeping you stuck, might be pulling you into the past or push you into worrying about the future. Counselling can support building reflective capacity, learn about our emotional reactions and responses in different situations, help us be present and develop helpful coping strategies to live a purposeful and meaningful life.
I need support, and I cannot afford it?
Please email me and we can discuss your situation. I acknowledge that seeing a counsellor can be unaffordable and I want to be able to support everyone.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can book online throught the bookings page or email me at: Leah@enhale.co.nz
What can I expect when coming for the first time?
Coming to counselling for the first time can be scary, uncomfortable and sometimes bring up thoughts of what do I say. If you experience any of these, that is okay (a lot of people do). Thinking and seeking support and reaching out are the biggest steps and require a lot of bravery.
When I first meet a new client, I like to get to know them and find out about why they are seeking support.
Do you offer counselling to children?
I offer counselling to adolescences from 12 years of age. If you child is younger than 12 years of age and you would like to access counselling, please send an email and we can discuss whether support can be offered
What challenges and experiences can you support?
I have experience working with victims and survivors of violence, abuse and neglect. I can support those who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges such as anxiety, self-esteem, depression and trauma (not limited too). If you are reading this, you have made a huge step in looking for counselling support.
